Beautifuly designed
and crafted, this artisan pendant features a handcrafted lampwork glass heart with metallic silver foil imbedded in pale sky blue glass, accented in swirls of rose and crimson. It is suspended from a celtic Mackintosh square, its base accented by a single art Nouveau inspired leaf. The back of the leaf is marked with the words "anam cara" which means "soul friend". This comes from the ancient Celtic belief that there are some friendships so deep that they reflect a ancient bond or connectedness of the two people's souls that allows them to understand, trust and support each other at a level beyond most mortal relationships. This striking pendant measures just over 3/4" x 1 7/8", with a 4mm bail.
