style of old fashioned openwork lockets or vinaigrettes, this wonderful Celtic piece is sure to become a favorite. It allows you to carry with you always two tiny 5/8" pictures or, if you prefer, a small treasure or piece of velvet or fabric saturated with your favorite perfume or aromatherapy oil - the lacy filigree front allows the scent to diffuse through the day. Its polished back bears the words "anam cara" which means "soul friend". This comes from the ancient Celtic belief that there are some friendships so deep, they reflect a ancient bond or connectedness of the two people's souls that allows them to understand, trust and support each other at a level beyond most mortal relationships. This lovely locket measures just over 3/4" in diameter with a 2.5mm bail.
