It is not suprising
that many gemstone cuts take their name from the royalty who have been traditionally the very few who have been able to enjoy their splendor. Marquise cuts are considered one of the finest and most rare among jewelers as they require much more raw gemstone to create the shape. Here, mystical, eye - shaped marquises of deep sapphire blue iolite are perfectly paired with luminescent creamy white pearls. These are bezel set in a dramatic sterling setting which follows the lines of the gems. These wonderful earrings measure just over 1/2" x 1" and are marked 925 for 925/1000 pure sterling.
