Here is the
perfect little sterling framed compass for your chatelaine! Charming pieces like this were used by Victorian ladies to find their way about - especially helpful in the intricate topiary mazes so popular on many of the grander estates. This wonderful piece is framed in a classic wide curving frame of sterling silver and has a loop at its top so it could be worn on a chatelaine or chain. It is marked 925 for 925/1000 pure sterling and measures just over 1" x 1". The compass is in accurate working order. You don't see pieces like this very often!
