beautiful sterling salt spoons in the very popular pattern, Scottish Thistle. This Celtic inspired pattern has delicate scrollwork along the handle and is topped by a traditional heart shaped thistle flower. Legend holds that the thistle became the symbol of the Scots when a horde of Vikings attempted to sneak ashore at night, but stumbled into a patch of thistle. Their subsequent cries of pain alerted the brave Scots and exposed the intended ambush. These spoons measure just over 2 1/2" long each and are marked sterling.
