The cloisonne enamelling is hand applied in vivid shades of rose, amethyst, gold, rust and emerald green with the brass base metal gleaming through in the raised accents. Cloisonne comes from the French 'cloisons' or partitions for the metal strips which border the vivid enamelwork. It is decorated with a charming design of a beautiful garden of romantic cabbage rose blooms. This heart shaped piece has equally beautiful enamelling on both sides. This lovely piece measures 1 3/8" x 1 1/8" with the bail holding a chain up to 2.5 mm.
