This fantastic
sterling chatelaine pin features a beautiful ancient Celtic knot or path design. Three chains with jump rings are available to hold all the necessities of A Victorian lady's day-to-day-life: thimble and needle holders, small pads and mechanical pencils, stamp cases or hem gauges. Chatelaines were not only an ornament, but a necessity for women as early skirts and dresses did not yet have pockets to hold these items. This beautiful piece is marked 925 for 925/1000 pure sterling silver and measures just over 1" x 1 5/8", not including the chains, the longest of which is 2 3/8".
