Remarkable gems
in a kaleidoscope of colors are set in this large sterling silver cross pendant. They are beautifully hand selected and set by artisans of northern India using gems of irridescent rainbow moonstone, smoky topaz, twilight blue iolite, firey garnet, peridot, blue topaz, and amethyst. The styling with multiple gems bezel set together and delicate beadwork accents is reminiscent of older baroque or renaissance pieces. Six central 5 x 7 mm ovals (about 1.04 carats each by size, 6.24 TCW) are surrounded by a constellation of fourteen faceted rounds (about 0.6 carats each by size, 8.4 TCW). The bail is accented by a stiking garnet gem. This impressive piece measures just over 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" overall, including the custom bail with its 8 mm opening in the measurements. It is marked 925 for 925/1000 pure sterling.
