way to accent your traditional Scottish kilt or cape than with this striking sterling and amethyst pin. It's surface is accented with a traditional thistle bloom pattern and Celtic type braid or knot work. Legend holds that the thistle became the symbol of the Scots when a horde of Vikings attempted to sneak ashore at night, but stumbled into a patch of thistle. Their subsequent cries of pain alerted the brave Scots and exposed the intended ambush. It would look equally stunning on a lapel or sweater. The top is accented by a sparkling bezel set 5 mm amethyst. This great piece measures just over 3/4" x 3 1/4" and is marked 925 for 925/1000 pure sterling.
