Captured in
the cool shimmer of sterling silver, this pendant or amulet features the Ancient Seal of Solomon, hexagram, Shield or Star of David as it was later called. This symbol was first used as protection against evil spirit in the middle ages by early Cabbalists or Kabbalists and only later adopted as the Magen or Mogen David as a Judaic symbol. When enclosed in the eternal circle as in this piece is represents the earlier symbol of the hexagram. Many believe the interlocking upward and downward pointing triangles to represent the opposing forces of male and female, positive and negative and heaven and earth. This unusual piece measures just over 3/4" x 7/8".
