This beautiful
sterling claddagh ring features the classic Irish symbol for love--two hands surrounding a crowned heart. Here it is interpreted in an unusual puzzle or gemelli style with four bands all interwoven to form the one ring. Rings like these are very traditional and date back to the 16th century, when they were called gimmel rings and use as testaments so love and for betrothals. Their name came from the Latin for gemelli or twins. This lovely ring is a size 6 and the ring is of nice weight.
