This fabulous
sterling silver hair comb can be used to secure your hair up in a variety of twists or chignons or could be simply used as an accent in other styles. It's sterling surface is ornamented with remarkable hand applied Balinese rope wire and granulation or beadwork. At it's center is a trio of gems - a beautiful rich red genuine garnet measuring 5 x 7 mm (about 0.80 carats by size) accented by two faceted lavender amethysts. The top arch is secured with a hinge to the pair of sterling pins which are nicely twisted so they hold in your hair more securely - the hinge allows you to use the comb in either direction and still have the decorative surface facing outward. This great piece measures 2 1/8" x 3 1/4" and is marked 925 for 925/1000 pure sterling.
