This wonderful
sterling pin has a loop on the back from which you can hang your favorite charm. These types of pins were often used to hold an old-fashioned locket or watch. It can also be worn on it's own with it's delightful fleur-de-lis design on which half of each arm is accented by ornate repousse scrolls. As enduring as the beauty of the iris is fleeting, the fleur de lis has long represented the power of the House of Bourbon and Rennaissance French royalty. More recently it has come to represent the strength and loyalty of the people of New Orleans in the face of adversity. It is marked 925 for 925/1000 sterling and measures 15/16" x 1 1/4".
