This piece is in the style of some antique vinaigrettes, in which a small piece of material would be saturated in scents and placed inside to slowly diffuse the essences through the openwork detailing. You could carry on that tradition with your favorite perfume or aromatherapy oil or just use this as a beautiful and decorative piece or use it to hold another tiny treasure or a few pills. This piece measures 5/8" x 7/8" and is marked 925 for 925/1000 pure sterling.
