This is a beautiful,
heavy and ornate sterling thimble case of an unusual oval shape. The top is ornamented with a raised basket of flowers and all sides have columns, urns and floral details. It's size would also make it as a pillbox. This piece is marked 925 for 925/1000 pure sterling. It measures 1" x 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" high.
